I have always enjoyed making art.  In the third grade I was once so intent on drawing geometric sunbursts at my desk that when it was time for recess, my teacher Mrs. Lorenzen asked me if I would rather stay inside and draw.  "Yes," I said without hesitation.  And so, during the recent pandemic lockdowns, when most of us were not going out for recess it was only natural that I would return to painting.  I am fortunate to have a naturally lit space with a  mid century modern vibe. The studio was initially built by a close friend for his architectural design work, and opens to a small shady city garden.  I have found great comfort with my canvas and paints.

Aside from a few high school art classes I am untrained.  I try to bring a sense of color, movement  and optimism to the canvas and am drawn to organic shapes.  My paintings please me.  I am not saying I am a great painter.  They simply please me.  I hope you feel the same.  For inquiries about showings and pricing please contact me here.  All paintings are acrylic and pencil on stretched canvas.
